JSimpleList Privacy Policy
JSimpleList provides simple lists that may be kept only on your device or, if you choose, stored online for multi-device access and private sharing.
JSimpleList is produced by JobSheet. JobSheet is a registered business name of 21 TWELVE CONSULTING PTY LTD ABN 31 692 386 771.
1. Local-only lists
You can use JSimpleList without creating an online account. Lists that remain local are stored on your device and are not uploaded to the JSimpleList online service.
Local app data may include list names, list types, list items, quantities, completed or incomplete status, ordering information and app preferences.
Device or operating-system backup and restore behaviour may depend on your Android device and account settings.
2. Online accounts
If you create an online JSimpleList account, we collect and store information needed to provide that account and its online features.
This may include:
- your email address and authentication account identifier
- your chosen display name
- account creation and update timestamps
- technical identifiers and security information reasonably needed to authenticate, synchronise and operate the service
3. Online and shared-list data
If you choose to make a list available online, JSimpleList stores information needed to synchronise and share that list.
This may include:
- list names, list types, ownership, ordering and timestamps
- list item descriptions, quantities, completed status, ordering and timestamps
- list membership, roles, join, removal and last-seen information
- invitation email addresses, inviter details and invitation status
- deletion records and technical synchronisation identifiers used to keep participating devices consistent
Members of a shared list can access the shared list content and information reasonably needed to identify and manage the people sharing that list, such as display names and membership roles.
4. How we use information
We use information collected through JSimpleList only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, maintain and improve the service, including to:
- create and authenticate online accounts
- synchronise online lists between devices and browsers
- provide private list sharing and invitation features
- protect accounts, users and the service from misuse or security threats
- provide support and investigate technical problems
- send important service and account communications
5. Service communications
If you create an online account, we may use the email address associated with your account, in-app notifications or notices on the JSimpleList website to send communications reasonably necessary to operate and administer the service.
These communications may include security or account notices, material service changes, changes to these terms or our privacy practices, service availability, and the introduction of or changes to fees or pricing.
These service communications are separate from promotional or marketing communications.
6. Marketing communications
JSimpleList does not currently send promotional or marketing messages as part of the service.
If we introduce marketing communications in the future, we will handle consent, sender identification and unsubscribe options as required by applicable law.
7. Advertising, analytics and tracking
JSimpleList does not contain advertising.
JSimpleList does not currently use third-party advertising identifiers or behavioural advertising tracking.
Service providers may generate ordinary technical, security or operational logs as part of hosting, authentication and database services.
8. Service providers and data location
JSimpleList uses third-party infrastructure providers to provide online authentication, database, hosting and related technical services.
The primary JSimpleList Supabase database is currently configured in the Sydney, Australia region.
Our service providers may use their own infrastructure, subprocessors, support systems or operational services in other locations. Their handling of data is also subject to their own legal and contractual obligations.
We do not sell your personal information or list data.
9. Data retention and deletion
Local-only list data remains on your device until you change or remove it, clear the app's data through Android, or uninstall the app, subject to device backup and restore behaviour.
Online information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain account and shared-list state, meet security and operational requirements, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
Deleted online lists and items may be retained temporarily as deletion records so that deletion can be synchronised safely to other devices.
You may delete your online account through JSimpleList where that control is available, or contact us for assistance. Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, security records or other systems where immediate deletion is not technically practical or where retention is required by law.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect online JSimpleList information from unauthorised access, misuse, loss and disclosure.
No online service, device or communications system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Access and correction
You can update information such as your display name through JSimpleList where that feature is available.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when JSimpleList changes or when legal, technical or operational requirements change.
If we make a material change affecting online account holders, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected users, such as by email, in-app notice or a notice on the JSimpleList website.
