Delete your JSimpleList account
JSimpleList can be used without an online account. If you created an online account for synchronisation or private sharing, you can delete that account from the Android app.
Delete your account in JSimpleList
- Open JSimpleList on Android
- Open the main menu
- Choose Delete account
- Confirm that you want to permanently delete the online account
Account deletion is permanent. You may create a new JSimpleList account later, but deleted online account data is not restored automatically.
What is deleted
Deleting your online account removes the online account and data associated with that account from the active JSimpleList service.
This includes:
- your JSimpleList online account and profile
- online lists that you own
- items, memberships and invitations belonging to lists that you own
- your membership of online lists owned by other people
- outstanding invitations associated with your account where applicable
Shared lists owned by someone else
If you are a member of a shared list owned by another person, deleting your account removes your membership from that list.
Items that you previously contributed to somebody else's shared list may remain because those items belong to the shared list rather than to your account.
Local-only lists
Local-only lists stored on your Android device are separate from your online account.
Deleting your online account does not intentionally delete genuine local-only lists stored on that device.
Data that may remain temporarily
Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, security records, operational logs or other systems where immediate deletion is not technically practical or where retention is required by law.
Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have JSimpleList installed, no longer have access to your previous device, or cannot use the in-app deletion control, you can request deletion of your JSimpleList online account by contacting:

Include the email address associated with your JSimpleList account so we can identify the account and complete the request securely.
